Meet ShaHadah
ShaHadah Barrett is a Mental Health Counselor at Streamline Wellness Center.
In her role, ShaHadah serves as a group facilitator and anger management provider, supporting youth and families through school-based and community programming. She leads engaging sessions that promote emotional awareness, accountability, and positive decision-making while also contributing to the development and implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives.
ShaHadah earned her Master’s degree in Human Services with a concentration in Crisis and Trauma Counseling from Liberty University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Virginia Union University, where she was also a student-athlete. She desires to work with the incarcerated population and support individuals navigating reentry and rehabilitation. Her educational background, combined with her experience working as part of a team, has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to support individuals navigating crisis, trauma, and behavioral challenges.
Her favorite thing about Richmond is the familiar feeling of her hometown, Norfolk. She loves that the city gives a sense of community and embraces the work that is provided at Streamline. She values building authentic relationships and being part of efforts that positively impact youth, families, and the broader community.
